Conway Stewart launched the Belliver in 2011, and it quickly gain popularity for being a perfect size and weight, as well as a timeless design married to understated accents. From the carefully crafted cap and barrel to the rich gold trim the Belliver was created with one goal in mind: improving the perfect writing experience!
The Belliver name comes from the location where the Conway Stewart factory was located on the outskirts of Plymouth. It is also the name of a “Tor” situated close by in the Dartmoor National Park. A Tor is a small hill – usually capped by a granite outcrop. The granite in this area is of good quality and was used to construct the pillars outside the British Museum in London, and to build London Bridge.
The Belliver is balanced using a solid brass barrel liner to offer just enough weight for the pen to sit easily in the hand without becoming tiring during long periods of writing. The cap is lighter in weight, allowing it to post securely on the end of the barrel if you so choose. The section is gently tapered to add comfort when writing.
When creating this new design, the craftsmen at Conway Stewart spent a lot of time fine-tuning the dimensions. For many people this pen is the perfect size, not too big and not too thick, but one that has presence, and is nice to use whatever your size of hand.
Each fountain pen is housed in an original Conway Stewart black leatherette presentation box which doubles as an elegant desk display, and comes complete with Certificate of Authenticity, Conway Stewart User Guide and a special anti-tarnish polishing cloth to keep your pen in sparkling condition.
Pens are handmade to order, so please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
